Metalworking Engineering
DIE-TECH is a second-generation family business that specializes in metal die stamping, micromachining metal, prototyping and assembly for a wide variety of industries, including aerospace, defense, automotive and the medical device industry.
One of our primary methods of making reliable metal parts for your industry is through the process of metal die stamping. This is a simple and efficient process that we use to turn flat metal sheets into the right shapes for your parts and devices.
Once a die is made into the proper shape for your part, we put it in a mechanical or hydraulic press. We can then place a metal sheet, such as aluminum, copper or stainless steel, that is up to 1/16″ thick into the press, which stamps the die shape into the metal as many times as you need to create the required number of parts.
In order to ultimately create the parts you need, our metal die stamping presses can perform a number of different operations, such as blanking, creating the template part that you can modify to get to the finished part, using a progressive die — a complex stamping process for making smaller, more intricate parts — and metal coining for creating coins or coin-shaped parts.
Many metalworking engineering experts find that metal stamping is the most efficient of the metal forming processes — much more so than, for example, forging. Metal stamping allows you to produce a very large amount of product very quickly without significantly adding to the cost for high volumes. This makes it very desirable when your business requires you to turn out a large number of simple, similarly-shaped parts in a very small amount of time.
In addition to the low production costs, an added benefit of metal stamping is that you can use it with a wide variety of metals and you will often end up with a stronger, more durable product than parts made using a different metal forming process.
If you need metal stamped parts, there is no better choice when it comes to commitment and experience than DIE-TECH. We work with metal every day and we have been doing it for over 44 years. We have an unwavering passion for finding out the needs of our customers and doing everything we can to meet those needs. We use the latest technology, which we are constantly updating, to give you the best possible results in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
We specialize in doing metal working jobs that other companies say can’t be done. Whatever your needs are, regardless of the industry, regardless of the size of your project, we stand ready to meet them.
